The service was very good including the assistance I got from Zeyneb and Jane. I wasn't pressured into what I bought and got sensible advice on what was right for me.

It would be helpful to be given an indication of waiting time - my appt was 12.45pm, and although I had the intial tests done within about 20 mins, my eye test was not until 1.30pm! Also, there are a lot of staff - all in different uniforms. No idea who, or what their roles are. A photo board in the waiting area with names/roles (or at least what the individual uniforms are) would be very useful. My consultation was very thorough and informative. My optometrist was friendly, helpful and very professional.

I tried to make the original appt. online but the system did not recognise my e-mail address so this was not possible. I then needed to make an urgent appt due to a sudden eye problem and contacted the 0345 number. Neither they nor I were able to contact the Nottingham branch by 'phone and I had to travel in person to make the appt which was dealt with in a professional and urgent manner. It appeared that the phone lines were not functioning;this should have been relaid to the 0345 number I feel. However the optometrist spent a lot of time and care dealing with my problem and gave a full and detailed explanation of the likely problem. I was most impressed and very grateful and relieved.

Throughout my gp lens trials, Zeyneb and David at Nottingham Victoria centre were very helpful. From the first appointment, David kindly explained each step and test and made appropriate arrangements so that I could receive seamless care. On the trial day, Zeyneb eagerly helped to find my lens which were about to go missing and during education session, she gave me informative and useful advice on how to wear and how to take care of contact lens. I was very well treated until the end. One thing to point out is that it was really difficult to make an enquiry over the phone. I phoned Boots optician Nottingham Victoria centre for more than a dozen of times over 2 days but I was never able to get through and had to walk-in.
